Big Book Sellers who Scam Small Book Sellers-Your Experience?
They order a text book just before the semester starts. 30 days later you get a message that the book is "no longer needed". Time passes and when book finally arrives back, it is the same title but they substitute your Very Good, unmarked, no stickers copy with a ragged, torn up, unsaleable copy with stickers and plenty of markings.
I have sent before/after pics to Amazon but get nothing more than a bored yawn in response.

I had one a little while ago. Sent out a very nice clean book to a certain textbook seller in Texas, got back a beater - they didn't even have the courtesy to remove the post-it bookmarks the student used before shoving it into a plastic bag. Didn't bother complaining, but if they try to order from me again, I will cancel. My metrics can take it. Amazon is flagging this post, but I specifically avoided using their name.

How do you know this is a bog book seller?
College students are known to do this. They order their books, and find out they don't really need it or find it somewhere else, like from someone who took the class last year or the bookstore's used section. They return the book, or return the other book they got. It happens. Not much you can do about it.
Taking pictures of a book before you send it, will not do you any good. You have no way to prove that is the book you sent to that buyer.
Textbook sales are hit or miss. You just gotta roll with the punches and make up the losses on other books. Losing money on one sale shouldn't break you if your other sales are profitable.

Hello @Birdnutz,
I'm really regret the situation you described above and this experience. I'm sure you already know this part but please make sure you report suspected buyer fraud. To do so, go to Seller Central > Performance > Account Health, click on "Report Abuse", and verify that the message, "A customer who is violating returns and refund policies" option should appear, along with other options to elaborate further. Amazon will not disclose the outcomes but will conduct investigations as a result of these reports.
Kindest regards,
