Royal Mail Collection Manifest
We have been using Click & Drop for about two years, taking our post to the local office. However, for the last few months, due to increased sales, we have been eligible for collections from our premises. Yesterdays postie did not take the manifest with him, how much of an issue is that going to cause? Tried to contact Royal Mail to no avail!

As long as they scanned your collection barcode and then the paperwork it should be fine. Even then I don’t think it matters to you, I asked the person in charge of revenue protection at the mail centre what happens if the paperwork isn’t scanned and she said she phones the depot and shouts at them! So it appears to be their problem rather than yours.
I did ask our depot what they actually do with the paperwork but didn’t get an answer, they can’t keep it indefinitely as they’d need a warehouse to put it all in (have you seen how fast the order numbers go up). They should probably securely destroy it but I’d imagine it gets thrown in the bin every now and then.
It’s time they had an app with a barcode for the driver to scan to save having to mess about with bits of paper.

Been having a collection quite a few years now and I have forgotten to print the paperwork out a few times but as long as you have it for the next day our postman have been fine.
