Amazon delivering with just a label

Morning all,

Not sure if anyone has experienced this or if there is a thread about this but as an Amazon customer I have received my order without it being in a box, just the product with a delivery label on it!

As a seller, is it possible to check that my goods are being sent out in an Amazon box, how is it decided that a product can be dispatched just with a delivery label on it?

Amazon call it SIOC - ships in own container. They have a commitment to reduce packaging so lots of products are now SIOC. I’ve had several orders come as a label stuck on a clear polybag.

If you do a forum search there was a fairly recent post where from memory the seller got Amazon to stop SIOC for their product.
