Licensed Brands Program

Has anyone any experience of this? I’ve been offered to register but they’ve given very little info on exactly what it is.
If I register for it to find out more then I’ll be opening myself up to Amazon calling me all the time to mither me about it so was hoping someone on here could shed some light on what it is before I speak to Amazon themselves.

A quick google gave me this:

Though it’s for the .IN site, I’m sure it will be pretty similar.

I’ve just got phone call from Amazon, the same they offered me to join that program. Which you can transfer some of your Asins to Amazon to be their private brand, but pay 10% extra for the fees so I said no. But I would like to know if anyone already in this program, is it any good?

What I have got is:
This is a program designed for Brand Owners like yourself that have been identified to have products of high quality – which might fit into one of the Amazon private brands such as Sekoa, Eono and Umi. With that being said, you will still be the only person who has control over your Seller Central account. Whilst on the program, the enrolled product will be given a selection of marketing benefits (Amazon display advertising, discoverability widgets, free Vine Review, account management, enhanced brand protection etc.) aimed to accelerate brand exposure across Amazon, as well as provide you with an additional revenue stream.

So the Asin still under your own brand, and you are the only person has control of your seller account, BUT you have to transfer your old Asin to Amazon, which makes me worrying.

I might be wrong, but sounds to me the Asin which transferred to Amazon will be one of Amazon’s brand.

After registering how many days did they take to reply?
I got the email a while ago but then they said they have stopped recruiting and will let me know when it starts again. Got the email again yesterday. I did ask them questions the last time they contacted heres the info i have.
You sell under amazon’s brand name, branding, packaging everything will be designed by the parent brand.
You can get your asin back under your brand name anytime you want. Though the process takes few weeks.
You get a separate seller central for the asins you have enrolled.
You are still responsible for paying fulfilment fee
All the advertising of enrolled asins will be handled by amazon so you save on ad expense for the enrolled asins.
If you goto any amazon brand in uk you can see under the sold by category the original seller’s name.
Your manufacturer must meet eligibility criteria which includes social audit certifications.
I was offered 1st year free last time but this time they didnt mention that.
