I am a UK registered business but not VAT registered

I have submitted all relevant paper work (Driving licence, Companies House documents, supplier invoice) to show that my business is registered in the United Kingdom and that I am a UK citizen, but Amazon are saying I owe them a sum of money for VAT and are now charging VAT on UK purchases.

Is this correct?

It is something unheard of on the part of the Customer Verification for UK Establishment department. My account was created several years ago. I have sent the account verification. I sent all the documents, which are the same ones from years ago that I have been selling in the UK. They are all there. The point has come that They deactivated my account and the worst thing is that they closed US, something serious, because the people who have to work don't do it, of course it's easy and they earn for doing nothing. They don't ask me for anything, they have all the documents and they still don't activate my account, something unpleasant on their part.

hello i need some help i have been backwards and forwards with amazon for 3 weeks over VAT establisment. They believe i am a non-uk business. i am a limited company set up on companies house and do not earn 85k therefore I am registered exempt from VAT (since september 2023 when i started) Amazon have said i owe £1400 in vat, is this correct or have amazon made a mistake?

Why did this happen? We must collect and remit VAT from non-UK established selling partners for the sales of goods delivered to customers in the UK. We leveraged a combination of automated means and expert human review to identify this issue and make this decision. We took this action in accordance with the Amazon Business Solution Agreement:”

I have sent over, my ID, business incorporation but amazon want more information to “prove I am uk established for VAT” but i am not registered for VAT can anybody please help all disbursements have been suspended
