Ungating process?
Hello all,
I have been selling on amazon since January and am now looking towards getting ungated in a couple of catagorys.
How does the process work? What information are amazon likely to ask for- I want to make sure I have everything ready to go before I send a request.
Anything I should ask my suppliers for?
Anyone been through this that has any advice would be appreciated!

Too vague a question, which product categories are you hoping to ungate?
Different categories will obviously have different requirements.
Electrical goods would need safety docs and compliance certificates whereas medicinal products will need, among other things, full ingredients lists to prove that no illegal or unapproved substances are within.

When you try to add any product of a restricted brand, category, subcategory or ASIN, you will see a “Request Approval” button.
Once you click on it, you will either get automatically approved (thanks to your good performance history) or redirected to the approval application page.
There you will see all the requirements and you will have the option to provide everything which is needed to process it.
Example:
-At least 1 purchase invoice for products from a manufacturer or distributor
-1 letter from Nike authorizing you to sell their products

I am specifically looking at the toy category and home electricals (kettles, coffee machines, toasters and the likes)
One other thing I can’t seem to figure out is this- If I say- got ungated for a specific toy (lets say Nerf guns for instance) would this ungate the whole toy category or just that specific item?
