First Time FBA seller storage limit, need more than 15 cubic feets

Is my total product limit on Amazon 1000 items, or can I have more if it fits within 15 cubic feet of storage? I'm confused because the Inventory scale also shows 1000. Can you please explain if I have 2000 products that need to be shipped what are my other options? Thank you.
