Help with merging two current listings into parent/child?
I have two existing listings that are essentially variations of each other and I would like to merge them into parent/child listings. One product is already live and the other has a shipment on the way. Has anyone done this without using the Wizard? Thanks.

I generally make variations via flat files so I can’t really give a detailed guide on how to do this through your inventory but:
You need to copy one of the items, this will be your “parent” SKU, it won’t sell directly but will contain the child SKUs that will form the variation.
Edit this new copy and go to the variation tab, set the variation theme/etc. and then add the other 2 SKUs to this page.
edit: found the Amazon tutorial on this:

(click “Practice Variations creation [PPSX]” on the right for the actual walkthrough on how to create a variation)

Hi Clearanceshed, thank you so much for your help. I did start trying to use the flat file variation wizard but found it really difficult to use. Will try your other suggestion, really appreciate you responding. Kind regards, Linda
