Poly bag requiements

Hi, I am planning on sending a shipment for FBA but it is the first time I need to use poly bags. I can see that the poly bag can extend no more than 3 inches from the product, are you allowed to seal the poly bag, wrap it around the product then tape it down. I’m sending a few products in and would be cheaper to buy 1 size poly bag in a large bulk order and just wrap and tape rather than ordering various size bags. Many thanks
