Start up amazon fba in uk as a foreigner
hello everybody,
I want to start up my business here in uk on amazon FBA but i’m Italian and I still have the Italian residence even if i’m currently working here in England for a while
so i have a bunch of questions
- do i need to have the english citizen or to be subscribed somewhere in order to be in line?
- do i need to open the vat in uk?
- do i need to open the vat in italy?
- have i to set up ltd here?
i’m a beginner looking for informations

An Italian Citizen non-resident in the UK would need to register for UK VAT to use FBA in the UK. Even if you registered a company here it would need to be an actively trading company with a true trading address to avoid being classified as a NETP.
As for Italian taxes, you’d need to consult an Italian accountant.

Yup, countryman (siamo Italiani anche noi ) as UK VAT is mandatory if you want your products stocked in/to the UK. To register for UK VAT, check here:

Only if you go over the minimum yearly threshold for our native country (35,000 Euros, which is also the same threshold as France and Spain). For further information, you should consult a fellow Italian tax advisor though. Remember to be legally registered (address included) there, as Peter suggested!
