Clarification on Proactive Testing for Dietary Supplements Compliance

Hello,

In the Listings Lounge: New Requirements for Dietary Supplements thread (now locked), it was mentioned:

"This requirement will be expanded to the whole ‘Dietary Supplements’ category throughout 2024, so you may want to get ahead of the required testing for items not listed above to ensure that your listings do not get suspended while you wait for testing."

Could you please clarify how sellers can proactively complete the required testing before Amazon flags a product? In some cases, Amazon closes listings at the same time it sends the compliance request, leaving no time for sellers to react.

We want to prevent listing suspensions by ensuring all required certifications are obtained in advance. What is the correct procedure to request labs to perform the necessary tests proactively, so the results are ready for submission once Amazon issues a compliance request notification?

Looking forward to your guidance.

Look at this thread.

"If the Selling Partner has raised a TR for a live ASIN and is in active communication with the chosen Testing Inspection and Certification (laboratory), the ASIN will remain live until a certification decision is made."

Hello @Seller_4BGdjtESZE9Jn,

Thanks for posting your inquiry. It is mentioned in the post, but to ensure that your listings are compliant with our policy, you must use the Manage Your Compliance dashboard to initiate a test for each product with one of the third-party TIC organizations. Once testing is requested, you’ll work directly with the third-party TIC organization to complete the testing of your products. There is no current avenue to request testing outside of the Compliance requests in the dashboard.

Regards,

- Manny
