Increase Price Risk
Hello,
One item I sell has five stars. I got another very good review of the product but the rating was four star. Reason given was because I increased the price by £1.00. The increase was to cover the recent Amazon VAT on fees, something like that. The bottomline message is that if you increase your price you’ll be hit with a low rating. Seems a bit unfair however it confirms seller vulnerability on Amazon. Amazon increased the price, not me !
Lesson learned is pricing should initially be set high. That gives room to manoeuvre. Setting a low price with steady increases is a risk. Strangely lowest price is a key part of the Amazon process. “D….. if you do, d….. if you don’t” springs to mind.
