Late Dispatch Rates

Can somebody please help…

Most of my products are Amazon FBA. However I listed one item FBM. That listing generated a few sales which I was not able to dispatch on time. All due to late shipping times from suppliers due to Brexit and Covid.

Anyway I finally shipped two orders, however my late dispatch percentage shot up to 18.4% and I got a yellow warning box in seller central so say my account is at risk of de-activation.

In the meantime I changed the effected listing from FBM to FBA and they’re all now in the Amazon FC.

Can sometimes tell me if my account will now get de-activated? I don’t have the product to re-sell using FBM t bring down the late dispatch percentage.

I’m now just waiting for the morning I wake up and my account is de-activated…

No not necessarily. If you have “At Risk” notice, which remains on your account for 180 days, otherwise around a month. However, if you are suspended and need to appeal, don’t use the reason you quote here because it’s not a valid excuse. If you didn’t have items in stock, they should not have been on sale. At the slightest hint of a problem, holiday shippings should have been applied. It is good that you have moved the affected product to FBA though. There are multiple threads on this very issue.

Thank you for the replies.

I’ve certainly learnt my lesson and would not advertise anything that I didn’t have in stock.

So is there anything at all that I can do? Should I consider getting another line that I do have in stock and selling that using FBM to see if I can bring down the late dispatch percentage? Or does it have to be the exact same product?

Kind Regards,

Hi,

I already have the yellow warning box in the top left hand corner of the seller central portal.

Because I no longer ship anything myself and everything is handled by FBA i shouldn’t have anything else that could contribute the the late shipment rate going any higher,

If that is the case will the warning just go away, or is there a chance that my account will become deactivated?

Kind Regards,

Patrick.

Hello Cable_Canyon,

I understand that your late shipment rate has exceeded the target 4% due to which you fear that your account might be at risk.

I would request you to prepare a plan of action in advance to avoid any account deactivation.

To write an effective action plan for late shipment rate, sharing you some questions whose answer performance team would like to see in an appeal:

Root Cause - What was the exact reason the orders were shipped late? Why the orders was not shipped on time? Share the details properly as it will add value to this step.

Corrective Measure - What measure did you take at that time to ship the pending orders which was missed on that particular date?

Preventive Measure - How will you ensure Amazon that you will ship the orders on time? Mention in details what will be your approach to not ship any orders late.

For more details, please check the help pages to gain more knowledge on how you can prevent late shipment rate from going above the threshold:
