Are you talking about US customers and about sales tax?
If yes, you do NOT have to charge anything. Amazon will charge this and collect straight away from the customer and pay to his home state.

I would slightly modify the statement from Brigitte -- if you are talking about sales tax for products sold on the dot com site to domestic buyers, then you are not allowed to attempt to collect sales tax -- and there would be no way of doing that.
If you were to succeed it would be illegal.
