Inventory error stranded stock
I am getting quite a lot of stranded inventory with the reason Inventory error. Usually these just resolve themselves but my most recent ones have been there a while.
I managed to get rid of some by deleting the sku and relisting it.
It has not worked with quite a few so I decided to ask seller support. They have given me three different answers with the most recent one being outrageous.
They told me that they had put my stock in a location that does not supply buyers and that I should submit a removal order.
Does anyone know how to resolve these issues properly? I can’t write back to seller support because their total incompetence just makes me so cross.

I get these quite regularly.
99% of the time, they just resolve themselves.
Deleting/recreating the SKU sometimes works, but other than that, just wait and see.
I’ve had things hang around for up to about a month.
Ignore what support have told you. Yes, that is a reason why they go stranded, but it’s Amazon’s problem and not yours. So don’t remove unless it’s a last resort. Who knows why they give such bad advice!

Hey! Has your inventory gone from active to reserved? If so, there’s a few of us sellers who are experiencing the same issue. Could be linked to responsible person required to sell products in EU.

This issue started last Thursday (10th Feb) and seems to be related to the Responsible Person request for the EU. Ours was flagged up on Amazon France, not that we sell on it, but it some of our listings were active… it caused an inventory error on the UK site… The ASIN goes inactive… the stock goes into stranded… you can delete the listing and re-add it after 24 hours and the error “appears” to correct itself but all that actually happens is the stranded stock error goes away but nobody can actually order the stock… the listing goes live but the stock isn’t sellable and you can’t remove it… after many many many messages all our stock is now in FC Processing… Seller Support basically said it will be held there until our ASIN is setup with the documents for this person… what’s crazy about this is Amazon haven’t actually asked us if it requires a CE mark… if we’re using one… or what documents we have… our ASINS which were on the same list are operating as normal… One person says the listing is active… another blames an inventory error… another says it’s the EU thing… we’ve given up on the situation and just pretty much wiped the stock off value wise now as there doesn’t seem to be a solution at present.
