Amazon charged me for unknown debt
So about a year ago I started Amazon seller but didn't really take too it. so I thought I had cancelled it and left it. today I came back and it said I needed up update my card details as they had my old details on there. I updated them shortly after i get a email saying they've charged my account £240.
When I looked further i found it was for missed subscription payments. the issue is I never had any emails saying I've got missed payments and nowhere did it say it was for £240.
what can i do now because I do not have £240 that I can afford to pay amazon.

It sounds like you signed up for the Professional Selling Plan at £30 a month.
You need to downgrade your account to the Individual Selling plan, which can be done here.
You can also then contact seller support, and if you haven't used the Professional Selling Plan services, you can request a one time refund (though its at Amazons discretion). The terms around refunds can be found here. It looks like at best you might get £90 back, though it does also state any refunds need to be within 90 days of the pro plan payment.

Hello @Seller_zimREsEc9eJgP,
I'm Sarah with Amazon.
Here you can find guidelines on how to request a refund for your professional plan if you meet the eligibility criteria.
"When are you eligible for a refund?
- If the fee was charged to you in error due to technical problems on Amazon's side.
- If you have not used any of the tools or benefits of the Professional selling plan within 90 days of signing up."
Kind regards,
Sarah.
