Deleting products via spreadsheet- some still showing as currently unavailable in Amazons catalogue.
Dear Forum Support
I am trying to change a stubborn attribute in one of my variation listings "size". I was told by seller support to delete and re-list after 24 hours with the correct information. I have deleted the family with the Multi-Marketplace Listing Templates (selecting delete from drop down) and the Inventory Loader File (putting x in add/delete column) . Although the majority of the listings have disappeared from the catalogue a few remain stating currently unavailable in the buy box.
1) If I try to resist I will surely get a matching error if I try to update the size attribute for these listings that can still be seen in the catalogue
2) How do I remove these listings from the back end?
@Roberto_Amazon - can you please help me- I really appreciated your support with updating a locked attribute previously.
Thanks and best wishes,
Sarah

Hello @Seller_6KV8jwEbhOy0s,
Let me address your concerns:
- Regarding potential matching errors: You're correct. Attempting to relist while old listings remain visible as “currently unavailable” will cause matching errors because the parent-child relationship hasn't been properly removed.
- To properly remove these listings from the backend:
- First, ensure you delete the parent SKU to remove all relationships between parent and child products
- When using the inventory file, make sure to include all variation relationships (both parent and child SKUs)
- For the delete action, mark “x” in the delete column for both parent and child products
- Wait 24 hours for the complete removal to process through the system
If the listings still persist after these steps, please provide the affected ASINs and parent-child SKUs so we can investigate further.
