Buy shipping and vtr

Hi I wondered if anyone can help me out I’ve got a few questions about buy shipping. Apologies in advance if I’m being a bit stupid but with the changes coming in for stamps and buy shipping I thought I’d try buying postage through Amazon. I’ve never done this before as I mainly use stamps. I’m trying to buy a 1st class large letter for a cd I’m shipping out today I’ve inputted all the info and clicked that it’s not restricted by Royal Mail but I get the message: Confirmation Note: The carrier selected does not offer the confirmation method in your preferences.

Does that mean this will effect my VTR or is it simply pointing out theres no tracking on the postage I’ve selected, I’m also confused because I thought postage brought thought amazon wouldn’t effect my VRT rate?

Also when using buy shipping do I still need to print a separate packing slip or should I select packing slip with the shipping label from now on?

And just to double check I can still just post in a post box I don’t need to take to it to the post office?

In your buy shipping preferences you can select if you want a delivery confirmation or not, and if you want compensation or not.

Amazon are basically telling you that the postage you have selected to use does not match these “requirements” you previously set (or they kindly set on your behalf).

It has absolutely nothing to do with you VTR, all postage you buy from Amazon will be recorded correctly, and will either be exempt, or valid depending on the service purchased.

Picking slip is entirely what is easier for you I would assume.

As long as you do not need/want a proof of postage (maybe for a claim for loss later on) then you can just drop it in a postbox.
