Trying to form a small community of full time resellers (just to support eachother not a group that costs$)
Seeing if there is any full time sellers on here that are looking for a friend to bounce ideas off of. This thought came from going to an eccomerce conference and talking to some great people but not connecting with anyone who was full time. I am just trying to communicate with someone who does this full time supporting a family. Just trying to relate with someone.

been selling online for 25 years, full time for 11. the landscape has changed so much over the years, that unless you are doing over $500k a year, the cards are stacked against us and its slowly circling the drain. Increases in returns, higher postage costs, Fee increases, brand restrictions.
If you could pay someone $10/hr to pick and pack orders and go over returns, the business model still works. If you have to pay for FBA or pack orders yourself, its getting hard to pay yourself the $30-$40/hr you should be getting for the work you are doing

It's just a handful of smaller sellers left unfortunately. Amazon has exterminated a large number of sellers this past year. Like others have mentioned, only high-volume sellers are left which are mostly large corporations and don't need to support each other since they have direct Amazon managers to fix all their issues and make sure they undercut the smaller sellers giving them a monopoly on the categories they sell. Our competitors somehow always have buy box now whereas Amazon used to rotate and give us a chance to compete. Sad little marketplace this has become, no longer profitable or viable. Add the increasing fraud with no accountability and you have yourself a nice recipe for disaster.

Why can't you start your own private label and sell the same product under your name? That way you will always have the buy box.
