Selling on Amazon without Prime
Hi
For various reasons, I am not able to offer Amazon Prime but have noticed in recent years a sharp decline in my sales, presumably because of this. Are there any tips on how to still sell decent amounts on Amazon without going Prime?

Do you mean you can’t offer Seller Fulfilled Prime or you can’t use FBA?
Edit - change your main images to have a white background so they comply with Amazon’s rules for search - it’s possible that’s hurting you. Also, personally I really dislike your use of real feet and would not click on your listings. Sorry. Almost all of your competitors have solved that issue.

I also think paying £6.29 postage on something fairly postable that’ll take a week to come would put me off, would be happier paying a little more than your selling price for prime cos the fba fees wouldnt be 6.29

Customers tend to like so-called ‘free’ shipping. Really should be called inclusive of shipping in my opinion.
Over £6 shipping puts people off, even if you included that amount in the total price.
Have you looked at Yodel or Evri, even using Buy Shipping, as around £3.50 or under for shipping. Cheaper than Seller Fulfilled Prime, and may boost sales.
Mainly though lots of other similar products, and lots from China, cheaply sold on Prime. So better images to promote highest quality.
Remember if you sell FBA, you pay storage etc if not sold.

i dont use prime and sell 60-80 items per day although i have 13,000 items in stock.
the trick is to be one of the cheapest and have a good feedback rating.
alternatively use promoted advertising to get on the first page of results but build the price of ads into your item price. even as a seasoned amazon seller i often buy a dearer product rather than spend time doing a full amazon search. promoted ads also appear in google searches for more results.
