Click & drop tracking

I’ve been getting non delivery from some customers despite the fact I have a confirmed delivery scan stating day and time of delivery. So either the customers are conning me or the postmen are at fault. however they clearly have had the parcel to scan it.

They have all been quite low value but it is very frustrating. I’m wondering if anyone has stood their ground over this and if so how did you get on if the customer puts an a-z in.

I’d stand your ground, by writing to the customer quoting the RM delivery confirmation. Many opportunist hucksters will back down at this point.

Obviously you can say that you will be forwarding this information to Amazon too. Not all customers will be as au fait as we are regarding how easily A-Z claims can be granted

I think the poster 4thought, who also works for Royal Mail has a letter she sends to customers giving them chapter and verse about how and when it was delivered and how to contact Royal Mail. I have searched for this contribution but can’t find it . Maybe she will come along

Unfortunately although Royal Mail click and drop syncs with Amazon and uploads tracking, Amazon doesn’t sync with royal mail with regards to items delivered (unless it’s Tracked or Special Delivery)
Even worse, Amazon are telling customers that their items are running late etc even though they have been delivered which unfortunately is drawing out scammers and chancers.
We send most items standard 2nd large letter through click and drop and are getting several emails a week saying their items haven’t arrived. We always reply by copying and pasting the tracking from the RM website and most times we don’t hear back. On occasion people are still adamant they’ve not had their item so we encourage them to contact RM directly.
We have unfortunately, one who escalated to an a to z and won. I’m hoping soon that Amazon will sync the tracking.

Amazon & Royal Mail not talking to each other is some thing I have been telling Amazon And Royal Mail about for months as it will also effect up coming changes with Seller Fulfilled Prime Small and Light. Finally got it logged as a case with Amazon on the 20th October and it is still being looked in too by both so there might be light at the end of the tunnel.

Yes I have had few customers who claim not to have received but I then send them a picture of the postage label and ask them to confirm address … when they do I then say according to Royal Mail it was delivered. Or collected by etc at the time and date … I havnt had anything further from any customer since

i get a few of the chancers, dont hear back from most of them. if i do then i state that as its delivered and they are stating none receipt then i need them to get a crime reference number for postal fraud and contact royal mail with it. for the ones that STILL insist they didnt get it (got one at the moment!) then i ring RM and they give the GPS location of the parcel where it was scanned, they then investigate and you ring them back in 48 hours for the outcome…after that i tell the customer they have to take it up with royal mail as they are the ones accusing theft. but yes…the customer will win any A-Z so its a risky strategy…ive refunded 2 who still insisted even after all these hoops are jumped through just to avois the A-Z
