Hi @Seller_z3k8APxGfbQEK
This is an urgent matter. What can we do now? We did not receive the direct answer that we are asking for.
This is what we are asking to mdri-exec-escalations.
"Hi Amazon Concern Team,
We had provided you the VAT summary that we had paid to UK government. Please refer to the attachment below.
From 2020, we had paid to HMRC on time monthly. It is unreasonable that now Amazon, as a seller, is asking us to refund the VAT tax from the government and pay to Amazon again.
If it is necessary to pay to Amazon in the end, we need Amazon to provide us the official proof of payment in detail through email in order to prove that we need to refund from the government."
Instead, they only reply to us like a robot:
"Hello,
From 1 January 2021, Amazon is liable to collect and remit VAT on B2C sales from non-UK established Selling Partners to B2C customers in the UK under the UK VAT on e-Commerce legislation (Sections 5A and 77F of the Value Added Tax Act 1994). Based on the information you provided to us, we have concluded you are not established in the UK for VAT purposes. Please see here for further information (URL) gov.uk/guidance/vat-online-marketplace-seller-checks Your VAT liability was calculated by assessing the sales you made to B2C customers in the UK since 1 January 2021 for which VAT was not previously collected by Amazon where it is payable under this legislation. Amazon is liable to collect and remit the VAT even if you have already paid it to HMRC.
Sincerely,
Seller Performance Team
Amazon.co.uk"
But mdri-exec-escalations did not give us the official proof of payment (Detail breakdown of our VAT unpaid). How can we ask government to give us the refund tax and pay to Amazon without any proof?
