Hello fellow Amazon sellers,
I’m reaching out for advice on a frustrating SAFE-T Claim denial for Order ID 114-5267351-5675444. I’m a Seller Fulfilled seller on amazo, and I’m struggling with what feels like an unfair process. Here’s the situation:
- **Order Details:** A buyer was refunded USD 48.14 for a “Product not as described” claim.
- **Issue:** Amazon issued the refund without my consent or evidence from the buyer. I tried contacting the buyer via Amazon’s messaging system, but they blocked me, preventing any resolution.
- **SAFE-T Claim:** Amazon’s initial message suggested I file a SAFE-T Claim to appeal the refund. I did, providing evidence like tracking info and proof the item matched the listing. the delivery of ZC37604180899 has been signed by the buyer on 11 July 2025.
- **Denial Reason:** Amazon denied the claim, stating, “The item is non returnable. Orders not returned because they are designated as non returnable by Amazon are not eligible for reimbursement, unless the return reason is buyer faulted.”
**Why This Feels Unfair:**
- Amazon refunded the buyer immediately without verifying the claim or consulting me.
- They suggested a SAFE-T Claim, but then denied it because the item is “non-returnable,” which I wasn’t informed of beforehand.
- The “Product not as described” reason wasn’t substantiated, and the buyer’s refusal to communicate leaves me with no way to address the issue.
- If the item is non-returnable, why was the refund issued without my input, and why was I led to believe a SAFE-T Claim was viable?
**Questions for the Community:**
1. Has anyone faced a similar issue with non-returnable items and SAFE-T Claims? How did you resolve it?
2. Any tips for appealing this denial? I’m preparing a second appeal.
3. Is there a way to escalate this with Amazon Seller Support to get a fair review?
This process feels like a catch-22, and I’m worried about losing money unfairly. Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for your help.
Best,
stone
