MCF - Huge delays and iresponsibility!
Hello,
I am a seller from Europe that i use FBA and FBM (shipping from Greece).
I thought that would be a good solution to use MCF orders since when a customer is located in the US i can use my existing stock from he FBA to fulfill my order from other platforms or even Amazon.
My mistake was that i used MCF to fulfill an FBM order that someone placed instead of FBA (both options are available but it's more efficient for the customer to use FBA) .
So... i thought it would be faster to ship this order by placing an MCF order, using existing stock in the US instead of shipping from Greece.
HUGE Mistake! The FBM order was placed on 17/7 and i created the next day the MCF order (18/7).
Today is 26/7 and the order Status is still "Planning" while the FBM order is on "Shipping is Late" since normally the customer should receive the order no later than 27/7.
The order doesn't even have a tracking code to provide to the control panel.
My account health is ruined due to the unbelievably slow order processing of the MCF order.
We are in 2024 and the fulfillment of the biggest marketplace/logistics of the world is way slower and irresponsible than the average small business out there!
In case i had normally shipped my order from Greece 99% the customer would have already received his order!
After contacting Amazon support 3 times, they actually blamed me as they said that Amazon does not recommend using MCF to fulfill FBM orders and that Amazon will not refund me as they are not responsible for any delay!!!!
I am mentioning some of their sentences:
"Take into consideration that this process can take from 1 to 5 days or 30 days" (!!!!)
30 days to process an order!!!!!
And also this:
"You are ineligible for reimbursements if any of the following apply:
You use MCF as a way to remove items from a fulfillment center. Instead, create a removal order. For more information, go to Remove Inventory (overview).
You use MCF as a way to fulfill any orders placed on the Amazon website, including self-fulfilled orders, FBA orders, or any related shipments. Instead, use FBA. For more information, go to Get Started with Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA)."
The purpose of my post is to warn other sellers, to be careful in case they want to use MCF since in the end of the day you are responsible for the orders and you are exposed to the customers. Amazon doesn't care for you and your business!
