Invalid Tracking No metric, fully tracked orders - APC Couriers
Hi All
We send ALL our items using a tracked service. We use APC Overnight couriers for our normal orders and if our customers are in Highlands, IOM, Channel Islands etc we use DHL couriers.
We always upload the tracking number at the time of despatch and have very few problems with this.
Looking at the Valid Tracking rate, our APC tracking numbers are not accepted as a form of tracking. So we have a Valid Tracking Rate of 1.61% at the moment. On the report CSV it is acknowledging the tracking number and carrier name, but every one is marked as “No Valid Tracking”.
If this becomes a real metric we are going to be in trouble.
Does anyone else use APC-Overnight for their carriage, or has anyone got any advice regarding this?

I have the same problem and received the following from SS which is not particularly helpful. I ended up phoning them and was told that there are no plans as of yet for the tracking rate to become a metric.

The valid tracking metric does not work with all couriers, it isn’t even accurate with all Royal Mail orders. Its also laughable when using UKMail as it marks orders as delivered when they get to the delivery warehouse without even a delivery attempt.
Until it is 100% accurate and they make some annoucement of what couriers they are accepting I see no way how they could enfore this a metric.
