Unable to edit product listing seems to be incorrectly listed as refurbished product when it is actually a new product
With one of the products I’m selling I’m experiencing issues with the listing. Whilst I’m able to restock this product the system won’t let me edit the listing including adding new photos or changing description etc.A message appears saying that I require approval to sell my product in the category ‘Toys and Games’ and in bold text it says refurbished condition however the product I’m selling is a new product. I have other products in the same category that are fine and have not experienced this issue with. If anyone has experienced this issue or has any advice I would appreciate it.

The problem you have, regardless of what the listing actually is, is that you are not authorised to sell in the toys and games category.
Without that, your not going to get very far.
I’m guessing that your a relatively new seller and to get approval for this category leading up to Christmas, is a minimum sales volume etc.
So until you have the authorisation, your not going to get very far.
What is the actual product? ASIN?
You also say that you have similar products, but are they actually in the correct category?

Hi Neil
Thanks for the feedback. The product I’m selling is a dinosaur hand puppet toy. I have also been selling other toys in the category of games and toys and haven’t had any issues. The strange thing is that I have been selling it and am now out of stock and have just done a restock with no problems. However I am unable to edit the listing like I was able to do a few weeks ago, from one moment to another it has been blocked. I’m wondering whether when I edited the listing on a previous occassion if I have incorrectly selected something which is now causing the listing to be blocked. The message that appears when I select Edit is the following;
-
You need approval to list products in the Toys & Games category
-
Refurbished condition
-
You cannot list the product in this condition.
However the product I’m selling is a new product and not refurbished so this is why I’m thinking that I may have selected something by mistake for the toy to be categorised as refurbished when it actually is not.
Hope this information helps. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi PetsPals, I am having the same exact issue. Amazon support agree that I should be able to edit, but the approval team continues to believe that I need a new approval. It would be extremely helpful if you could share how you managed to get this resolved. Many thanks.
