VINE Orders Showing Financial Figures Instead of £0
Hello@Julia_Amzn, I hope you can help!
We manage a number of accounts and within the last week, started to notice VINE orders showcasing a financial figure, which then impacts our business reports.
However, not even a week ago VINE orders were coming through as £0, which has been the norm for many years.
Attached are two different account transactions for 2 individual VINE orders.
One dated 7th June 2025 includes the Product Charges as £0 and the Promo Rebates as £0 too. As mentioned this has been the norm for all previous VINE orders.
The order dated 16th June 2025 includes the Product Charges as £6.99 and the Promo Rebates as -£6.99, so although the sale proceeds still show £0, in our Business Reports it makes it seem we have sold significantly more, when we actually haven't, this then impacts our third party reporting software, and completely throws the metrics.
As shown in the Business Dashboard screenshot, on the 13th June 2025 for one account, we had 20 orders claimed for VINE, and 1 genuine sale for £19.98, this should have been our total business for the day, but because it is factoring in the new VINE figures it instead shows it as £159.78.
Please can you help investigate and determine whether this is an error, or if it is in fact the new way of reporting VINE orders and if so, can some information be released by Amazon to alert sellers of this?
Thank you.

Hi @Julia_Amzn, please could you help us with a response on this matter? We have a case 11224230792 that has been pending response from the internal team for the last 11 days...

Hi @Seller_ge0gg5KP9qJAr,
Sorry for the delay reply, but I've reached out to our partner team to investigate your concerns about the recent changes in VINE order reporting.
Upon examining the order IDs you provided in case ID: 11213008882 (202-4022082-2117169, 202-5278122-2702767, 202-1103863-9903537), they found that these orders have promotions applied to them.
This is reflected in the transaction details you're seeing. It appears there's an active promotion in your account, which explains the new format you're observing.
It's important to note that according to Amazon help page, claimed Vine units should be identifiable in orders and business reports with a price of 0 GBP. From the attachments you shared, we can see that the sales proceeds are indeed showing as 0 GBP, which aligns with Amazon stated policy.
Regarding the discrepancies you're noticing in your Business Reports, I want to clarify a few points:
- Different report types may show discrepancies due to the way data is processed and the specific purpose of each report.
- Business reports typically have a 24-hour lag compared to real-time data.
- The total sales figure you're seeing might include the product charges before the promotional rebates are applied, which could explain the inflated numbers you're observing.
If you're using third-party reporting software that's being affected by these changes, you might need to adjust your settings, perform some manual calculations, or reach out to your software provider for assistance in adapting to this new reporting format.
We understand that these changes can impact your metrics and reporting processes. While this appears to be a new way of reporting VINE orders rather than an error, I appreciate you bringing it to our attention.
I'll make sure to pass along your feedback about the need for clearer communication when such changes are implemented.
Cheers, Ezra
