How can I change variation type?
My product is fishing wader. There was no brose node of waders in the past and my listings are created long time ago. I don't know why my child ASINs under a same parent ASIN are classifed into different categories, some are classified into boots and some are classified into overall. The variation type options of boots is color/size, while variation type options of overall is color/bottom size. The variation type difference of child ASINs leads to attribute conflicts when I want to edit the parent ASIN. The product details page of 2 product type is also different, so it also results to 2 kinds of size choices in selling page. For example, size 9 of different colors will exist both "9" and "Men 9/Women 11" options.
I tried to delete the old parent ASIN and create a new parent ASIN 24 hours after the deletion, but the situation stays the same.
I also deleted the old child ASINs and created new child ASINs with same SKU name and ASIN code, but the problem still remains.
What should I do?

My name is Dougal from the Community Manager Team and I would be happy to assist with your variation family update issue. There are several options to update listings and in your case, variations.
You can update a variation family via the Variation Wizard, please review the Add a variation using Variation Wizard help page (updating a variation family is the first sub-section on that page).
You can also update the variation family via an inventory file upload. Please review the Create variations using product templates help page for those instructions.
