How to deal with intellectual property complaints in an online arbitrage model?
Hi All,
I am doing an online arbitrage via Amazon. In last few months I have received couple of complaints on Intellectual Property Infringement.
In one case I tried to get in touch with the trademark’s legal team and they confirmed that they never complained about a reseller account they complained about an ASIN and only that particular ASIN should be affected.
I tried to share the same reply with Amazon however they want a direct revocation email from trademark.
Now, I don’t have any option to deal with this issue. In this week I received 2 notifications for the same issue.
Please help.
Regards
Ritesh Kumar

Amazon are actively seeking to end online arbitrage business models on their site by demanding proof you are an authorised outlet with an approved wholeseller/supplieur.
I fear your days are numbered.

Just say “dropshipping” we all know that is what it is!
This is acceptable if delivered to your own retail or personal address or premises, but must not be direct to buyer via another Amazon Marketplace Seller.
(Honest House) are you sure? Be careful what you list against!
IP infringements and complaints are common in the Uk marketplace.

Unfortunately, the only way how you can appeal complaints like this is by supplying Amazon the proof of authenticity and having a retraction notice from the rights owner.

I hope you were listing your item as used, purchasing from a retail outlet even if you don’t open or use the item it becomes “second hand” and therefore “used”
