Buyer misused the product and returned it as "Item defective or doesn’t work"?

We received a return, which is marked as "Item defective or doesn’t work". But we can tell the buyer didn't notice the product title and description, and simply misused the product. Has anyone met this type of problem? Is there a way to improve it? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Yes. I am experiencing the exact same issue. One of my buyer’s stated they didn’t even open the package but Defective was the only option they could select since the other’s didn’t apply. I have submitted several appeals, Letters, buyer’s comments, reviews, and an action plan to improve any buyer confusion. After all of this my appeals have been rejected and my listing removed. A listing that contained over 1900 reviews (4.5 out of 5 overall). I have sold over 10k of these over the last 2 years. It is impossible to escalate this issue. Until now, my listing is still deactivated.
