Someone has changed the images on one of my products
How is someomne else able to change the images on a product that is solely mine, made for me?
Surely I should be the only person able to change the images?

The product is yours, but the listing is not. Once created, the listing belongs to Amazon.
It seems that you have lost the listing control for the item. If you cannot change the image back, you will need to request SS assist you (possibly) with links to the manufacturer website/product/packaging photos to prove the changes you are requesting.
I have had success in the past just by flagging the item to say it has been altered incorrectly but it might depend on the agent you have ‘helping’ you.

Were you the one who originally created the product page or not?
On Amazon, anyone who has the listing control is able to make changes of product details, including images.
This can be also achieved by opening a case with the Seller Support.

No, the listing was for a helmet that was originally a normal retail helmet that was discontinued 4 years ago by the manufacturer. We had always sold a lot of them so the manufacturer offered to continue making them solely for me which has been the case for the last 4 years, no one else has had them for sale in that time.
The images have been changed for an old helmet but there is still no-one else selling which makes me think the change is malicious.

No, the helmet model has been discontinued for some time, I will check with the manufacturer to see if they make any other colours for anyone else but I very much doubt it.
I think it was malicious as they didn’t bother to change the title.
What worries me is that from my side of seller central the images are still correct, it was only by accident that I stumbled across the listing from the buyers side and saw all the images were wrong.
What is doubly worrying is it is an item I sell thru FBA. Who would be on the rack if one gets sent overseas and it is the wrong colour for the customer?

I can’t see how it could be overwritten, the Model code, Helmet name, EAN would be different
