My Experience as a New Amazon Seller
I recently started selling on Amazon and received 18 orders in the last 12 days. However, 7 of these were returned for reasons like "Buyer Return" and "Customer Reject." The product is a simple DIY kit, and I find the high return rate puzzling, as there don't seem to be valid reasons for many of the returns.
A major challenge I've faced is that most orders come from remote areas with high shipping costs, while local or regional buyers are rare—possibly due to the high cost of targeted advertising.
As a result, my pilot program is currently running at a loss. With the combination of high returns, low margins, and high shipping costs, I’m questioning whether it’s worth continuing to sell this product.
For those starting out, this is something to keep in mind. Have you faced similar challenges, and how did you overcome them?

Hi Seller, now a days it become very tough for new seller to survive on Amazon, as it requires lot of advertisement cost, as organic visibility not that good, you can simultaneously try on other e commerce platforms also & also try to sale as much as from FBA , it will drastically reduce returns
Thanks in Advance

there are some items depending on catagory of buyer's do command good sales and so does returns , for rejected and undelivered orders you will be immediately refunded for shipping. Check payment status dashboard.

Add a video explaining how to DIY the product, it may be simple yet a lot of people will find it to be tough. Improving listing quality can help you reduce a lot of returns. Also improve your ads, to target right people.
