You may say no, BUT, if you use FBA, the answer is a definite yes!
I want to know how do I con my concience and sell used items as new, as it seems now so easy to get away with this on Amazon, as long as you use FBA.
Even all the bad feedback will get struck through, and you can have 100% good feedback.
I have bought 2 products, and 4 Sellers all selling used items, as new. Their Accounts are not closed down, even though I have reported them. 2 examples are shown below.
So, if you can't beat them, you have to join them, I guess!!! - buy cheap used items, clean them up, do not bother too much about matching serial numbers on boxes, or wrapping the item in new bags, you can get away with all that too. (Shows FBA staff do not even check itsm in and reject any with damaged makers boxes, taped up, or just in generic boxes, unlike other new stock that Amazon are selling themselves).
Then when you get bad feedback, it gets struck through, saying: 'Message from Amazon: Amazon takes responsibility for this fulfillment-related experience'. - when really the Seller sent to FBA, a used item, many many times.
2 Examples:
SELLER A (all struck through feedbacks):
1.Goods incomplete with stand missing, appear to have been used and not packed very well. Goods have been returned.
2. Product arrived without a box instructions. Looks second hand. Pls explain or we shall return.
3. I ordered & paid for the Razer Blackshark V2 , not the Razer Blackshark V2 X. That item is £40, I paid for the V2, which is £94
4. Don't no as I haven't received it yet
5. Item was ordered as new but when delivered it was clearly used. The box was in a very poor state, had clearly been opened and the device used as a raffle prize.
6. Cannot believe this seller sent the item wrapped in plastic with no manufacturer's box. Definitely not new. Even shockingly this was fulfilled by Amazon
7. Ordered the printer with Ethernet connectivity and arrived missing the ethernet port. No option to have the part sent to install or a replacement, just sorry you can return it at for a refund at a further cost.
8. Item was used although said brand new, didn’t have a uk plug flat 2 pin plug, not English’s version, seller had all the excuses under the sun, blaming Amazon for it all. Stay away.
9. The product was listed as new and bought under that assumption; it came in cardboard without any of the Seagate packaging. It doesn't look new.
10. The lens did not come boxed as new. It was wrapped in cardboard and then inserted into a plastic wallet. If this item was new it would have come packaged and sealed in an official Nikon box.
11. Ordered a tin of teabags, received a damaged cardboard box of teabags.
12. very disappointed with auto feed spool, all the plastic cord had fused together, making it unusable, not what l expect from a genuine "flymo" product.
ALL the above are recent feedbacks from 1 Seller - all struck through!

SELLER B (all struck through feedbacks):
a: used item sold as new
b: FRAUD - Seller sells used items, as new (illegally) - I am sure the Seller blames Amazon, but Amazon did not do anything incorrect. The Seller labels the item, sends to Amazon to send to Buyers. So Amazon cannot make an error. Amazon said buy several, all are USED - not new as they are selling
c: FBA Warriors DELIBERATELY sold a USED item, but SOLD as NEW (several bought, and all the same). Serial number on the item, NOT matching the box. BT items should include a manual (not just a QR code), screen saver missing, each part should also be wrapped with tissue paper, not even bagged instead. NOT Amazon's fault, stock sent to Amazon by this Seller, labelled by the Seller, so deliberate!
d: Poorly packaged, received damaged, looked as if had been ripped open. Phone did not work,. Returned for refund.
e: Product box had label on it that it was a previous ret'n, not sold on Amazn. So, deliberately sent that way by this Seller.
f: I picked up order today. The packaging box was intact. The bottle of conditioner was in a sealed bag but the conditioner has leaked and is all inside the bag and all over the bottle. Not sure why this has happened. I have taken photos that I can send to you if needed.
g: Does not work
h: This seller is a fraud! I claim a full refund.
i: Amazon should take this shop products off line!
Again all the above are just 1 other Seller

So, shall we all sell used items as new, as seems all now approved to do so by Amazon, not sure how!!!
(although it really is bad for all Sellers, as it puts Buyers off getting something which is clearly not new, or is a refurb item, but paying full price)

It is also frustrating, that FBM feedback is not removed, yet FBA Sellers can get away with the same wording bad feedback being struck through, eg: 'Does not work', in this case likely as a used item, but even if it was really new, not really a Sellers fault, on FBA struck through, on FBM, then the Sellers fault for sending out a faulty item.
