VAT Refund For Sole Trader
Hi,
I am a seller at amazon for over 3 years. I am sole trader and earning less than 85k. I am not VAT register. Does this mean Amazon have been charging me VAT on seller fees for nothing? Can i get a refund ? How does this work and anyone else been in this problem before

You can only claim VAT back if you are VAT registered. You are not paying it for nothing - it is for a service.
No different from the VAT you pay on services and goods you buy.

Hello from Amazon Selling Partner Support,
I understand that you are requesting a VAT refund on Amazon FBA and Seller fees.
However, I have noticed that you have not been VAT exempted yet in seller central, even if you have declared your tax exemption for ‘Automated receipt generation service’: https://sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/tax/exemption/summary
Therefore, the future fee invoices will continue to be VAT charged.
As you know, in order to be VAT exempted for UK marketplace you must meet the following criteria:
-U.K based Seller
-Must be registered as a Sole Trader
-You are under the threshold of £85,000
Please be advised; to verify if you are VAT exempted, we require a Certificate of Incorporation or a document of Self-Assessment issued by your local tax authority.
We require the document in PDF format.
Please respond with the valid documentation so we may investigate if you are able to be VAT exempted, and consequentially analyze your refund request.
Should you be confirmed as VAT exempted you will also not be charged VAT on Amazon fees.
If you have any questions regarding your VAT exemption eligibility, please contact your local Tax Advisor or Tax Authorities.
