Hi! If I apply for VAT registration in the UK, what is the chance of getting it? Do I need to start selling goods in the UK (on Amazon) or can I only sell after receiving the VAT?

If I have VAT in the UK, will I be able to transfer invoices for service fee from Amazon (they include VAT) and get a refund of this VAT? If the VAT balance is positive, will it be returned to the bank account?

My business is UK VAT registered with a UK location. All of our orders on Amazon.co.uk are currently being charged VAT directly from our sales proceeds. The charges line item is called 'MarketplaceFacilitatorVAT-Principal', it's on every order and is 20%. I am needing clarification of if this VAT charge is reclaimable from HMRC on our quarterly VAT filings, or if this is a type of VAT which is not reclaimable.

I would like to close my Amazon EU/UK account entirely for good. My EU/UK account has not been active in use for several years now. Amazon claims I cannot close my account due to invalid VAT. Now that Amazon will no longer support VAT and Taxually will be taking over. I would like to close my Amazon UK account entirely. How can I do this? I am constantly being charged by Amazon by using the VAT service for years now. Please help me resolve this. What needs to be done? Can Taxually help me on this matter? Can I re-instante this invalid VAT with them just so I can close my EU/UK account entirely?
