Account under review for drop shipping violation
hi all
first post here. So recently we bought a product with every intention to send into amazon for FBA (as we do for all of our products). When we tried to do so, we got the message that no fulfilment centres could take the goods. We tried everyday for about a week but still got the same message, so was left with no option but to do FBM, which we’ve never done.
Anyway, my other business, which is a print business (absolutely non relatable to retail or amazon) has a DHL account, because it sends out signage to construction sites across the UK. Our amazon business doesn’t have a DHL or courier account as we only do FBA so have never needed one. Both business are in the same commercial premises.
So as the orders are coming through, I’m shipping them out on DHL through my print business account. After about 100+ orders I get the email to say account under review due to drop shipping violation. For a while I couldn’t understand why then the penny dropped, it must be the business name on the DHl account doesn’t match my Amazon business.
I sent amazon an email explaining the whole situation, and have explained on 2 phone calls with amazon. I have also now set up a DHL account for the amazon business so everything will now match.
My account is under review, not suspended, so we’re able to keep selling but the disbursements are being held up.
I just wondered if anyone had been in a similar situation to this? Merely an admin error, absolutely no dropshipping has been carried out - the products are all at my business premises, I’ve literally used a courier account that doesn’t match my amazon account. This has since been rectified and the last few orders I’ve shipped out are all under the new DHL account which matches my Amazon account

I’m unsure why it would matter the business name on the DHL account? Unless you were including paperwork that indicated your other business name?
If that was the case and there was paperwork that indicated another business (even one you own) in terms of Amazon policy, that’s drop shipping. All you could do is appeal really. It’s good you’ve rectified the issue, so hopefully you’d have a strong appeal.
