Safe-T Claim denied (Buyer kept item, Amazon refunded customer at MY cost - then denies claim 4 reimbursement, due to not using Amazon Buy Shipping
Hey guys,
So recently I had an order where I sent the customer 4 items; 3 of which were delivered by USPS, while the 4th package, was lost by USPS.
Some time passes, customer requests refund for item thru Amazon - I do not refund the buyer, I instead send them out the same exact replacement item.
Customer receives item just a few days after it was sent out (ALL TRACKING UPLOADED TO AMAZON W/ TRACKING SHOWING 'DELIVERED' to customer's address)
Amazon goes ahead and APPROVES the refund to the buyer anyways, taking the money out of my account and giving it to the buyer...
So, I file a Safe-T claim on Amazon, explaining that the buyer received all (4) of their items, and the refund should not have been approved by Amazon.
Amazon DENIES my claim, stating the reason for denial, was because I "did not use Buy Shipping thru Amazon'.
So, the deliveries were all CONFIRMED as delivered to customer; customer is SUPPOSED to be sending (1) of my items back, but they FAILED to do so; Amazon says no worries to the customer, just keep the item and get refunded as well!
It's the Seller's fault, since they did not use Amazon Buy Shipping!
What?????
Do you know how ridiculous this sounds?! Because I didn't use Buy Shipping thru Amazon... they can just deny my claim, when my claim was for the buyer not sending the item back they received, AFTER receiving a refund???
This is so silly; Can Amazon really do this??? Seems so wrong to me... and irrational, too. What does not using Amazon Buy Shipping have to do with customer not sending item back to me, after receiving refund (that AMAZON approved for buyer, NOT me!)?
Can we get some copy/paste generic canned responses from Amazon support to help with this issue, please? You guys are just THE MOST HELPFUL (sarcasm)

It's how Amazon works-customer centric. The insurance of being covered is when you purchase the shipping through Amazon. They will never take your side otherwise.
You never send a replacement unless the buyer initiates it through Amazon.
You may want to go to seller University and do some research on claims and replacements.
