Brand Registry Amazon-UK = Owner

Brand Registry application needs to be submitted by the trademark owner. If you are an authorized agent of the brand, please first have the actual trademark owner enroll their brand into Brand Registry with their account. Once the brand is approved, the brand owner can add your account as an authorized user.

I have uploaded Advertisement of a Trade Mark Application pdf document, in addition to all other documents & photos required.

4th time, my Brand Registry application is declined. I am sure, there is some really small thing being overlooked.

Please help.

That would suggest you haven’t actually been granted the trademark yet, and it’s still in the application phase?

That notification seems to state that it’s not in your name either

My experience is that, despite what Amazon policy might say, Amazon will not allow you to register for brand registry until your trademark is granted/approved by IPO. The last trademark we applied for with IPO took a lot longer than the first due to the amount of applications they are currently dealing with.

Good morning @ GardenShopTh,

I will move this thread to the Sell on Amazon General questions folder for better visibility.

@ GardenShopTh, could you please provide your trademark number? If you prefer to share it via private message, please do.

Kind regards,
Julia.

Amazon accepting pending or not fully registered trademarks to open a Brand registry account is usually depending upon the use of the IP accelerator program as far as I’m aware

While it’s risky if someone opposes, Amazon accepts pending registrations for brand enrollment. It states when enrolling your brand, “To enrol a brand, you must be the brand owner and have a pending or registered trademark.”

Our brands were enrolled shortly after registering while in a pending state.

The steps in the process (assuming all goes well) are:

  1. Application - receive the trademark number
  2. Examination - within 7-10 days of registration, they check if your trademark meets requirements.
  3. Publication - 2-month opposition period
  4. Registration - 2 weeks after the end of the opposition period, the trademark is registered.

I would wait for #2 just to be sure.

I had the same issue when I was setting up brand registry with a pending trademark. They refused to tell me what the issue was, probably because there internal policy contradicted the public policy, even emailed the md email but they also refused to tell me. Applied again when the trademark was approved and it was accepted immediately.

I’m about to fill a brand registry application and don;t want to make any mistake. We’ve had our trademark registered last year, it’a all up and published etc. Trademark is on company name so company is the owner - so I understand that I fill an application as an owner (amazon account is in company name) ?
Another thing is that I was wondering if providing a company website is something necessary to get approval or at least making an application more likely to be succesful? Our website is in progress now so hopefully it will be running soon.
