From the start of February, I have been charged VAT on seller fees and FBA fees. While it would be understandable if Amazon were to begin invoicing from their Irish Subsidiary given the impending launch of Amazon.ie, it is not understandable why they haven't communicated this to sellers. Seller support are not able to answer the question.

Additionally, While it makes sense to invoice with VAT in Ireland for digital services, Why would there be VAT charged on FBA fees where the service if provided in the UK?

Obviously this VAT can be claimed back, but there is no transparency about what is going on and there are no VAT invoices available yet.

We're 6 weeks into this now and the first reports are starting to show up in the tax documents library.

The one I was waiting for was the VAT for selling on Amazon fees but there is only a summary. It shows a VAT charged total that averages out at about £15 per day and I'm sure we've been charged more than that, bearing in mind we're now being charged VAT on all Amazon selling fees, the subscription fee, even the UPS shipping fee for sending stuff to FBA.

Is there anywhere amongst the maze of reporting options that I can find a breakdown of this total?

For some reason all of a sudden Amazon is charging me VAT on their fees, see image below.

Normally VAT shouldn't be charged also because I have valid VAT numbers in FR/DE/IT/ES

Why is this suddenly happening? It needs to be reverted back ASAP.

Anyone know?
