Issues with brand Approval that I was already approved

hi @Sandy_Amazon

I would like your help on my case, I have more than a year selling with Amazon, a learning curve.

Last year I got approved to sell on Nike, this year they asked me to reungate, I did it, got approved, bought more inventory, a week after they asked me to reungate again because the UK market.

And since that I can’t have a clear answer, I’m not selling on UK. I bought mor inventory because I was approved, and now I’m the middle of talking to the computer and my money stuck in the warehouse.

Can you please assist or guide me who I should talk to.

It’s not fair at all.

Newer case 18048624741

Approved case 17913535621

No, you never got approval to sell Nike; Amazon may have ungated you, but Nike never authorized you to sell on Amazon.

On the bright side, Nike has gotten a bit softer on enforcing this; accounts are only having listings blocked; 6 months ago, you would have been hit with Inauthentic complaints, and had your entire account closed, with no recourse.

Hi @Seller_nucElsSFzuvBP,

Thanks for posting to the Forums. Amazon requires approval to sell in many categories, brands, and products and in some instances restrictions and policies change. While you may have been approved in the past, as the Amazon catalog grows, we continuously make new determinations on which products should be restricted, which is based on a number of factors. Amazon does this to ensure authenticity and customer satisfaction.

As your fellow sellers have stated, Nike has restrictions in place for selling their products. If you are not a brand owner but have a relationship with the brand directly, you can reach out to them to ask them to add you as an Authorized Reseller of their brand in Brand Registry, which may get you approved to list their items.

A letter of authorization (LOA) can also be a valuable addition to your appeal in these situations if you’re sourcing directly from the brand or their manufacturer.

Regards,

- Manny
