Selling in the Netherlands?
I got an email today:
"Hallo namens Amazon Services,
Amazon Services Europe"
Apparently, I’m now selling in the Netherlands. I got given an account I did not want in .de and .pl, now it’s .nl.
Check your holiday settings if you don’t want to sell anywhere but the UK.

I called Seller Support and got this:
"Hello from Amazon Selling Partner Support,
This is regarding our conversation earlier.
As discussed, I am transferring this case now to one of our specialist to further investigate the issue on your account.
Your account will be placed on hold to ensure no further activity takes place while the security team investigates.
Note: This will typically take 24 hours; only in extreme cases will the process take longer. You will be contacted directly by our team once all the necessary actions have been taken.
Thank you for selling with Amazon.

And now this:
"Hello from Amazon Selling Partner Support,
We understand your concern regarding the email you have received.
Upon research it is found that Amazon did not send any such mail.
You can check it here : https://sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/performance/notifications
You may receive emails from Amazon, such as Sold, Ship Now emails or Technical Notification emails. However, sometimes you might receive emails that are not really from Amazon, even if at first glance they may appear to be. Instead, such emails are falsified and attempt to convince you to reveal sensitive account information.
These false emails, also called ‘spoofed’ emails or ‘phishing’, look similar to legitimate emails from Amazon. Often these emails direct you to a false website that looks similar to an Amazon website, where you might be asked to give account information, such as your email address and password combination.
Unfortunately, these false websites can steal your sensitive information, which can then be used without your knowledge to commit fraud.

WTF!!!

This doesn’t exactly sound genuine though

OK. Thanks. The .nl site says nothing under performance notifications. However, the home page tells me:
"…Deposit Method
Your deposit method is missing or invalid…"
and
"… Action needed
Check your emergency contact number…"
So it looks as if the email IS genuine, despite SS telling me that it is fake.
What a shambles. My Amazon business is just an add-on to my pension these days. If I was paying a mortgage and feeding my kids with my Amazon income, I would be tearing my hair out by now.
How can such a large business be run so incompetently/
