Help Needed - Account Deactivated Due to Alleged Link with Another Account

Hi everyone,

I’m seeking advice and guidance on an issue I’m facing with Amazon regarding the deactivation of my seller account.

Amazon has deactivated my current account, stating that it is linked to another deactivated account. They’ve asked me to either activate the first account (which I don’t believe is mine) or provide proof that I’m not related to it and have never owned another Amazon account.

Here’s some background:

In 2020, my husband worked for someone and helped them set up and manage their Amazon account. During that time, he used his mobile number for the account. Eventually, my husband moved on, and his former employer didn’t pursue Amazon further.

Later, when my husband helped me set up my own Amazon seller account, he used the same phone number on my account. He has only ever been assisting me in operations and has no ownership in my company or the previous one.

Due to this common mobile number, Amazon seems to believe my account is linked to the old account my husband had assisted with.

To resolve this, I’ve taken the following steps:

I submitted my husband’s employment documents (joining and termination letters) and payslips to show that he worked for the previous company but didn’t own it.

I updated the phone number on my Amazon account to avoid further association with the other account.

I’ve appealed three times, including all supporting documents and suggestions from Account Health Support.

However, each time, the Appeal Review Team responds with the same automated message:

“You have been found to be related to an account beginning with Zaurac.

We received your submission but do not have enough information to reactivate your account at this time.

To reactivate your account, please provide evidence that you have never owned a separate account and believe this deactivation was in error by providing supporting documentation. This includes but is not limited to any authorized or unauthorized relationship through a third-party company or evidence of account compromise. If we cannot substantiate the claim, your account will not be reinstated.”

I’m at a loss now. Despite providing all the documents and evidence, I’m unable to get through to Amazon. Can anyone here please help me understand what additional documents I could provide, or any specific steps I can take to satisfy Amazon and get my account reinstated?

Thank you in advance for your time and suggestions!

A termination letter showing your husband no longer works for the other company should be enough. I would just submit this and nothing else.

If you are failing with the appeal process have a look at mediation. This often gets linked accounts resolved. You have to commit to paying a mediation fee but normally this is not charged as it gets sorted before a fee is payable (although this is not guaranteed)
