Just been told NOT to use 'Add A Product' to list an item but to use a template file upload!
OK. So I added 2 new products. Some slippers that were similar.
After adding they were at ‘Suppressed’ at my inventory.
Clicking ‘Edit’ and much of the original information I entered when using the ‘Add A Product’ page was missing. I re-entered and saved and had to repeat several times to get it all saved.
Listing stayed Suppressed. Support told me Browse Node was missing. Considering this is first thing you select when using ‘Add A Product’ this seemed a bit odd. So I again Edit the product and again select correct Browse Node.
Listing still ‘Suppressed’ so I contact Support again
They admit there are no errors in the information I have entered and nothing is missing.
Their solution is to delete the product and SKU and then re-add via a template file upload.
But if the ASIN has been created how can I now delete it? Doesn’t the Catalogue remember products by EAN so it cannot really be deleted anyway?
I can obviously delete the SKU from my inventory but that won’t remove the product itself.
Also, I hate creating new products via a file upload. That method never goes smoothly for me. Surely the ‘Add A Product’ page should be sufficient? (and actually work properly).
I know what will happen I will spend ages creating the upload file, send it up, and get told an ASIN already exists for the EAN.
Ive spent hours on this problem already. On eBay it took me precisely 10 minutes to do the same job with no trouble at all.

We’ve noticed over teh past few months, even when adding data/products via template upload, data is missing. Seller support were of zero use. We’ve just chosen to accept it’s broken and nothing can be done. Pulling my hair out going round in circles with seller support.

I’ve been banging on to support about this for months.
If you just want to add or edit a couple of products what is the point of doing it via a template file which takes a lot longer. Surely the actual add/edit product page should work.
