Design Registration
Hello everyone,
I have a question regarding the situation.
Suppose, I have been selling a product called XYZ on Amazon for the past year. However, I recently discovered that someone has registered the design of my product on registered-design.service.gov.uk. I would like to know if this registration is legitimate and if it could potentially result in the removal of my listing page from Amazon.
Looking forward to your kind replies.
Thanks,
Regards.

If it is a registered design with IPO then its legitimate & yes get ready for possibly a remove your item request or an IP complaint from the seller.
I have design registration for one of my best sellers but have no intention of trying to get rid of other sellers of the same item its just insurance if one of our chinese competitors tries to be naughty.

Hi @ adamandeesa,
Thank you for the proactive reach out!
Below you can find a link to help pages, which will take you to the Design Right IP topic:
Amazon intellectual property policy - Designs
You can also send me a Design Right number in a private message for the validation
Kind regards,
Julia.

This happens all the time on Amazon and other sellers register someone’s design and then raise violations against other sellers.
If it is your design then I would challenge this with the IPO. You can apply to have the design invalidated. I would also look at registering the design yourself for protection.
