When the cost of a full tank is this much, people are actually taking count of what they buy

My sales are actually growing at the moment. I think it all depends on what you sell.
Luxury and non-essential items people are probably cutting down on.
I think it will get worse in the Autumn when people start to use heating combined with a potential massive increase in the cost of Gas/Electricity at the same time.

tis a rocky ship at the mo. batten down the hatches, and just like the customers, spend your money wisely on future stock
but please, please, pretty please don’t drop your prices to the point of no profit - think of the other sellers on the listing who are trying to make a living/profit

My sales are steady at the moment, I haven’t seen much movement eitherway but the lower price ranges are the ones that are selling, not so much the higher ones.
I also see a small spike in the last week of the month and the first week of the next which indicates people haven’t got much money to spare and are waiting for pay day to purchase.

40% first week of June, 30% second week, this is the way it will be for the summer
One of the issues - talking to a marquee company at the weekend, they are fully booked for the year as the last 2 years plus this years celebrations take place so this side of business is busy for the first time in 3
Online will be quiet till after the summer, but even then I dont see anything coming through that can create more sales for everyone for the next couple of years

have you seen the cost of living? Its a joke

We’ve seen a relatively big decline in sales this year when compared to previous years. Between 1st Jan 2022 to 13th June 2022, we are about 22% down on the same period last year, however, there are numerous things at play not least 1) The public are no longer being told to not go to the shops and 2) cost of living going up.
We are fortunate enough to manufacture many of our products so with a bit of creative thinking we can triple our number of sku’s in the next month or two which will hopefully boost our sales but I learnt very early on to not take things for granted I’m fully aware that even if we grow our number of sku’s, sales could remain low.
We’ve actually gone down to a 3 day week at the moment to save on some staff costs, but as for the future, who knows…
