Problem when trying to buy shipping labels to ship Seller Fulfilled Prime Orders to AB (Scotland) & BT (Northern Ireland) post codes
Please can someone help with the below urgent query. I have explained this issue to Seller Support a number of times now but am yet to have a definitive answer as to how this problem can be resolved and also how best to proceed so that this issue does not happen again.
The issue is that when we attempt to ‘Buy Shipping Labels’ for Seller Fulfilled Prime Orders for delivery addresses in Scotland (AB & also G post codes) and Northern Ireland (BT postcodes) it shows that there are no shipping options available for these post codes.
We have been advised by Seller Support previously that: “The error message refers to the carrier not being able to ship to that specific area even though the location may be with the UK. Each carrier has their own coverage restrictions, whereby they do not ship to certain locations”. Seller Support also said that ‘You may proceed to ship these orders with an approved 3rd party carrier.’
Therefore, for instances where there is not an option to buy a shipping label through amazon, we have been shipping these orders using a Next Day service provided by DPD, and entering the tracking numbers for each order on Seller Central and then confirming the orders as Amazon have told us to do so.
However, we are continually being marked down for shipping these orders in this way even though we are following Amazon’s instructions. I have also informed Seller Support of this many times and asked for exemptions to be applied but this never happens.
I do not understand why we are not allowed to buy shipping labels for Seller Fulfilled Prime Orders for delivery addresses in Scotland (AB & also G post codes) and Northern Ireland (BT postcodes) as when we ship the orders using our standard DPD service, the orders arrive at the destination with-in the specified time frame.
I have also tried to set up Royal Mail as a second shipping service so that we have the option to ship with either DPD or Royal Mail, therefore increasing the shipping coverage of the UK and reducing the number of problem orders. I have provided details of our Royal Mail business account as requested by amazon, but have had no response or update since.
Is there anyone else who is having or has had this problem and can please help resolve this?

We get this issue a lot however when we ship with Hermes on their next day service it doesn’t get flagged as shipped with a 3rd party courier (as long as it was out of the Amazon logistics delivery area). In my experience you have to actually attempt to buy postage for EACH order and not just look at the postcodes.
With SFP orders and metrics Amazon’s policy is generally “if you let us know there’s an issue then it won’t affect your account” but quite often they’re unable to overwrite the outcomes of automated systems, instead they just leave a note on their system to indicate that you shouldn’t be penalised for it. Which generally seems to work more often than it does with normal orders. Make sure you contact Amazon every single time this happens with a list of affected orders. (unless you’re able to safely absorb the negative impact).

BT Postcodes are Northern Ireland not Ireland.
Two different places and Two different jurisdictions, 1 is in the UK and only requires Domestic Postage, The other is not apart of the UK and as such requires International Postage.

We buy labels for SFP for all areas without issue. I sent 2 to Belfast today on TR24 and one to Shetland.
You should only need to buy DPD labels for items that are oversized for RM.

We use RM for all small items where they will ship basically anywhere apart from the channel islands through buy shipping. For bigger items, we use DPD through buy shipping on SFP. Their coverage is good, but you cannot get scottish highlands, belfast, channel island etc. For this, you have to use your own courier.
DPD will ship there if you have your own account, but not if you use buy shipping. Wonder if it is because its more expensive eh?

You said that you have passed your royal mail business account to Amazon, Amazon need details of your tracking service account with royalmail not your normal royal business account.
