Brand Name
Hello! We are fully registered with CH, there are no trademarks for our brand name on IPO. We haven’t yet registered for a UK trademark for the brand name (we are planning to). When we opened the Seller Account, our brand name (display name) was not available so we added “specialist” to it. We already have the logo with the brand name.
My question is: when I add the product, if I put the brand name that will be on the product as well, will it have anything to do with the display name on the seller account? Thank you!

The display name on your seller account has nothing to do with the brand names of your products they are completely unrelated in any way.
You may need to apply for brand approval to list the brand name though - which is just photographs proving that the item you are selling has that brand name permanently affixed

Just a pause.
If you are going down the branding and trademark route - please do lots and lots of research and make sure you aren’t investing in a brand name that cannot be protected adequately.
If someone is already trading as the name you have selected they may already have established brand rights (either through established/prior use or overseas trademark registrations)
I’d suggest thoroughly researching your planned names and brands (in all marketplaces) because it may save you thousands in the future for rebranding costs if there is contention or dispute.

Just something to add if you are going down the brand route and registration etc.
You may want to advertise your goods with the brand name before it is registered and I am about to save you a lot of possible pain here. This is so so important.
Make sure your brand registered name with the trademark is identical and consistent across any listings you create.
It may seem obvious but it isn’t. You have added specialist to your brand name. Are you going to register your trade mark with specialist added to it? You need to decide what brand name and it has to be literal. If you don’t do this you will find that some of your listings won’t take and not everything in your shop if you decide to do one will show.
Also if your brand name is generic and you add something to it to make it less generic be mindful that some of your products may display or not be brand registered that sit on the generic brand.
It sounds like I am stating the obvious but this was one of the biggest lessons I learned when getting into brand registry. My company was fairly generic and the only one but wasn’t brand registered.
As I went to get myself brand registered I noticed that someone else started selling and putting up items with the same brand name, therefore like you, I extended the name and registered it. The issue was is that I couldn’t get all of my original listings to accept the extended brand name and another company was displaying their products which were unrelated next to mine. More so it meant that the generic name was there for the taking by someone else hijacking the listings and the brands.

I have registered a trademark sent amazon details that approval is pending they accepted it, I set a storefront which is live no problems with any of that. My problem is that many of my new listings which have the brand name and proper GS1 ean numbers are not linking to my storefront or any of my other listings. Does any one know why this is happening please?

Hi @ ALSI_Specialist and everyone posting under this thread
I also suggest to look into WIPO website which is a great base of registered trademarks:
Happy selling on Amazon!
Julia.
