I want to cancel my seller account and get a refund
Hi, I want to close this account immediately and get my refund as I have been unable to set up the account and I keep looping on verification despite providing everything accurately. Appears the bots may not be working as Amazon have taken my money out of my account, but I can’t even get a hold of anyone to resolve the issue… if this is the start, then imagine what it would be like during… I am happy to walk away and not sell on amazon as a result. Can anyone help?

Unfortunately your a bit stuck now - Amazon can only refund to an up and running account, which yours isn’t.
All you can do, if you dont want to persevere with verification is to downgrade your account from Professional (fee paying) to Individual (no fee) to prevent further monthly payments being take (yes they will). Go to your settings - manage my account - downgrade.

I want this also! I’m in the same hellish loop of promises to downgrade/refund/verify my account as it stands they haven’t kept to anything they have said and now amazon have taken £68 of my money. It’s the worst service I have ever had

I am going to see if my bank can help too as agreeing to refund me money from two months ago and close my account. I have had assistants from seller support tell me that my account is verified then a week later that it’s not. It is fraudulent to take a second payment when they previously agreed that I am an individual seller months ago…

I am having the same problem. I can’t get verified even though I keep getting told I have submitted everything, it is over 120 days now. So downgraded my account and asked for a refund. I got the refund but they added it to my balance on Amazon so as I am not verified they won’t return the money to my bank so it is just stuck sitting there. So fed up and frustrated. can’t cancel my account as I will lose the money!!!

It doesn’t say they won’t take money - it says they won’t disburse any monies, that is they won’t send you any money for any sales you have made.

Similar problem here:
I am selling on FBA for a few years now.
Suddenly Amazon locked my selling account and froze the funds and froze (“stranded”) entire FBA inventory.
I took them 23 days to verify my passport.
CS useless, completely not undeerstanding my issue, trying to “un-strand” a single item of inventory, “perhaps I labelled it wrong”, I lost my wits.
Account is still locked.
Now the Amazon “verification system” requested HMRC documents.
I guess another month to process that.
Additionally, they marked my entire inventory for “disposal”!
Have fun selling on Amazon.

Try changing your bank details in your admin to Account number 000000000000
This way they will not be able to take money from your bank account as they will not have your bank details.
This should also sort out your problem of not being able to contact Amazon Seller (NONE) support as you should find that they will want to contact you when they want something.
Amazon seller support is a joke!
