DD+7 kicked in for me this week.
Had a small balance that as expected went into Account Level Reserve.
Again as expected subscription and postage came out of that balance, but my net proceeds seem to have just disappeared. Was expecting them to go into the reserve.
Is this correct, and they will appear once DD+7 is reached? Or has something broke?
Has your total balance disappeared or just the net proceeds?
before the 18/09/2024 each time confirmed dispatch, the money would be in my balance within 30 minutes. Now each time I confirm the money does not go into my balance but into a deferred account. Advertising cost is been taken out as usual but my account balance seems to be very low now. Is this normal? Please help.
On my payments dashboard it says that I have a 'Standard Orders' balance and 'Deferred Transactions' balance under that.
I thought that my standard orders balance would be available for payment, but I can not withdraw anything. Is this normal?
The products I sell are all FBA so I don't see why they are doing DD+7 for me. I currently have around £4,000 on hold. It does seem like they are doing it to raise more money.
I have in the past year sold over 600 items to Amazon despite the fact they are also selling that item cheaper. it's like they are buying for me and selling it cheaper to another customer. Amazon also price match to Argos and Very even when they are clearing stock at a loss. Amazon are making a loss to get sales. By holding on to all of our money it's like a Ponzi scheme.
I'm having the same issue, my balance is never available even though the DD+7 has passed, I have put account in holiday mode as I am not selling for free, I have raised a query with them. not had a payout since 19th Aug, I had daily dispersments nothing, i'm not a charity, thank goodness this is not my main platform anymore
DD+7 is the worst policy in the history of policies on any platform in the history of online selling. It causes a vicious circle unnecessarily and is totally counterproductive for small businesses. Businesses rely on cash flow to operate efficiently. This policy stifles cash flow. I at present have 81 orders to send, I have everything ready to go but I can’t pay for the postage. (My orders are 90% in Europe I don’t purchase shipping to these destinations from Amazon as the option I require isn’t available in Buy Shipping). I have to set long delivery times because my cash flow is being held back by Amazon. This is causing a backlog of orders which wouldn’t exist if I had the proceeds of my sales. Inevitably there are then some customers who complain via feedback or claim which then Amazon of course hit your ODR which cause losses of Buy Boxes and drops in sales. All of this could be prevented if the old system of daily disbursement was implemented. Some people will say get a loan however not everyone is in a position to be able to do that and why should I have to get a loan and pay extortionate interest when I already have enough to cover my postage expenses in my balance? It’s an absolute disgrace to be honest. I’m not a criminal, I just want to sell and make my money. We’re told that the money is on hold to cover claims, first of all if there’s a claim I’m not running away like a thief in the night and second all of my claims and bad feedback stem from the above described catch 22 situation. So basically the “root cause” of my bad performance is this useless policy.
I must have moaned about this hundreds of times but when you can see that there’s literally one thing that is making your life impossible and it’s so unnecessary and in fact it’s causing all of the issues it’s really hard to take.
