Is Amazon Trying to Scam Us?!

Long story short, our account got deactivated due to an unauthenticity claim on an item that was sold out over 1 year ago when we received the email. We've been trying to have it reinstated but they always denied the submissions claiming that there is insufficient evidence to prove authenticity. Furthermore, 12K of our funds were held due to the account becoming suspended; note that these funds are not remotely close to being related to the product in query that caused our account to be suspended in the first place. Fast forward to now, end of May we receive the monthly statement and it shows that they've subtracted the full 12K amount that was in our reserved balance in two separate transactions with no clear details as to why it was taken out of our account. They have the transactions under "Expenses - other." We create a case asking for clarification and get told that they cannot release any information due to the account being suspended and deactivated. We reply to the rep asking once again for clarification to get an email shortly after stating that the case is closed with no further information. We've been trying to have our account reinstated this whole time and have reached the same conclusion each time, which is telling us that there is not enough evidence to prove the authenticity of the product in query. They refuse to pay us out the funds that was related to other products and sales. And now they've taken our funds with no clear details as to why. Did we just get robbed by Amazon?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance Seller Forums.

Find the suspension notice and POST THAT (the ENTIRE thing) but remove all personal information first.

Anyone answering will need to see what wording they used and what they are asking for.

If it is a Section 3 violation for dropshipping anyone responding needs to see the language to determine if it included the 'death sentence' wording.

"We've been trying to have it reinstated but they always denied the submissions claiming that there is insufficient evidence to prove authenticity."

Do you/did you have LOAs from EVERY brand that you sold saying that you could sell on Amazon? Did you buy from AUTHORIZED wholesale sources that your rep at the brand told you were authorized?

If not, you have no proof of authenticity and no chain of custody.

This is from a few days ago. For any others reading this, wake up and start paying attention to the REALITY of selling here and not the pipe dreams spread by all the TikTok and YouTube shills making money off gullible people.

from @Emet_Amazon --

“As mentioned by both @Picks_by_Nisha and @NEVERLAST, you are welcome to write an appeal. I will have to warn that in most situations surrounding authenticity, we no longer accept a written plan of action. “

Hello 2870145_Ontario_Inc. I feel your pain. Yes you were robbed. No doubt about it. Just another stream of income for amazon. How do i know this? Same thing exactly happened to me. My account was deactivated almost a year ago in July. Reason - missed video id interview. Passed interview at a later date, but of course - it always the same thing that they do - they took 3 random FBA products - now prove that you are not a camel. I am not a camel - here are my invoices with my statements showing corresponding charges. Not enough. Give me your supplier's suppliers. 2 out of 3 gave me supplier's invoices. Not enough. We can not verify your suppliers. End of story. I am sure your story is similar to mine with only difference that amazon took more money that i had in account reserve so they charged my credit card for additional 1.9k. Shameless. OK enough about me. Here on the forum they say that the only way to potentially get your money back is arbitrage or small claims court(up to 5k). Good luck.
